#FashionFuel COGNAC and other BROWNS

I own so much of this color that it borders on ridiculous, so I kept the outfits to a minimum. 😆 There's nothing really hard or complicated about this color--it's just a great go-to in the fall and winter. FYI, cognac is often mistakenly clumped together with "tobacco," which is actually a completely different shade in the light brown spectrum, so be aware of that! Cognac leather & moto jackets have been popular for years, but leather skirts (short and pencil) in cognac are a super hot item out there right now. As with the other colors we've covered, you can incorporate this color into almost any facet of your outfit, but look for pieces that could help you change things up a little! Try something different this season that you haven't before! After all, variety is the spice of life, right?? 😉

DO: Mix with other trends. The 70s retro look that's crazy popular right now that we covered a few weeks ago is a great (and easy) trend to blend with cognac pieces. In the far left picture, I incorporated cognac, tobacco, and some other browns into the preppy trend we covered a couple of weeks ago!

DON'T: Blend with pastels. More often than not, pastels do not mix well with cognac. Stick to warm and cool jewel tones, especially in fall!
